And I mean sustainable results that can become part of a lifestyle.I don’t believe anyone in the world is looking for the most complex solution. Sometimes strategies are complex and our goal is to simplify them as much as possible as there is power in that.Complex can many times be an excuse for why you can’t stick with it.I certainly know I have.I’d outline a complex strategy that had so many components and I’d get fired up about implementing it into my training/nutrition/work and then when life got a little more hectic (a.k.a. “in the way”) – the complex strategy would be the first to go out the window and I would revert to my old habits. My “reason” for why I didn’t stick with it?“Well, it was really complex and hard to stick to.”So, why do we continue to take on very advanced, complex strategies and methods?#1. You try to get a jump-start and get ahead, get quick results, because you’re beating yourself up for failing multiple times; so THIS time you’re really going after it with the advanced complex plan.#2. Believing that because it’s more complex, it must be better, faster, the most effective (whatever the informercials are saying) to get you to your goal#3. You have an underlying belief you won’t follow through so making it complex sets you up have a way outWhen it’s SIMPLE you either do it or don’t do it and it’s hard to blame it on complexity.I believe that you have to conquer simple habits before you can take on more complex ones.It’s what gets the best, most consistent results short-term and long-term. It’s also the most sustainable that can become a lifestyle rather than a “quick-fix” or “8-12 week thing.”At Vigor Ground Fitness and Performance Renton Gym we first focus on simple habit change that produces great, lasting results. You may be wondering how much can just one habit change if you want to take get serious results with your body.Check out how big of a difference just one of the habits listed above can make (you think drinking water is no big deal – I’d disagree):

So this infographic can become a road map to a lifestyle and habit-change that will get you results and help you keep them long term.However, many habits you choose to take on, the question I’d have you consider asking yourself if this:“How confident do you feel on a scale of 1-10 that you can do this 90% of the time?”If the answer is 8,9 or 10, then go ahead and start with the habits you’ve picked. If it is less than that then it means you should take on less. You must be confident in what you’re taking on, as it will significantly improve your success rate.Start with a habit or two making sure you answer the above question honestly and apply them. Once you have been consistent for two weeks ad more asking yourself the same question. Keep working on the list of 10-habits until you are applying all of them.This works.Why?Because it’s not about what you do but about whom you become!You see, when you do something for a little bit, or a couple of months, it’s just what you “do” but when you implement it to a degree that you do it even through the hardest times and it becomes and ingrained habit then it’s who you have “become.”Like I mentioned above, keep it simple and follow the habits.It DOESN’T have to be more complicated then this to start and get great results.Nothing happens if nothing happens so time to print out the infographic and post it where you can see it, then make a plan and take action.
